I got to work just now and have an indicator light on the dash saying O/D OFF. What? My Kia Soul books says this indicates that the OD SYSTEM is deactivated. What? I called Tuffy and spoke with Scott. There is a button on the stick (that you never know is there until this happens) that I pushed without knowing it. Thanks Scott for saving me a trip!

I was referred to Tuffy by a local tire shop in the area. When I walked into the shop I was greeted with a smile and helped right away by Scott Brennan ( Not sure if that the correct spelling of last name) He was very knowledgeable and so easy to work with. Thanks Scott for a great visit.


I never thought that the dread I used to feel when I had to bring my car in for service would ever go away. Most often than not, when you bring your car in to be serviced there's always a huge possibility that the problem is never fully resolved. But this is not the case with Tuffy. I first brought my car in for a brake issue about 2 years ago and I never had a problem with my brakes again. The team is courteous, knowledable and good at what they do. They don't recommend a bunch of unnecessary repairs and what repairs that are needed are done right the first time. I must say that my car is 10 years old and it performs just as well as it did when I first purchased it 9 years ago and I like to think the team at Tuffy has a lot to do with that.

After running into owner (Michael) at a gas station, he provided business card and simply asked me to give Tuffy a try. Wow, I am so glad I did! I took my Lexus in (drop-off) for an alignment and they (Roger) did an amazing job. They were also able to give me an incredible deal on some replacement tires which I gladly accepted. Additionally Michael himself provided an extra courtesy call to provide updates of progress. This is what business should be; trusting, professional, knowledgeable and overflowing with top-notch customer service. Tuffy has certainly earned my business as well as those within my circle as I will recommend Tuffy for automotive service needs.

Service was awesome! It all started for me when I put in a request for a quick quote. I submitted it later in the evening. To my surprise, I received a reply from Mike fairly quick. I wanted a catback system installed. Explained to him what I had and received a quote. I was sold just on the fact he actually responded. Mike,Owner and Scott, Manager are delightful to work with, outstanding customer service. Tuffy quickly diagnosed my car problem and Roger called to let me know what the problem was. He took the time to explain the problem and even looked at ways I could potentially save some money. Unheard of in my opinion. It took approximately 3 hours to repair my car. They offered me transportation because I lived close by. So greatly appreciated that benefit. Nothing worse than having to wait on car repairs. Todays experience was nothing but exceptional. Definitely going back and would highly recommend this location. Job well done!!

OMG the most amazing thing just happened to me. I went to Tuffy and it looked busy. But I stopped in to set an appointment and get a price check to replace a missing tail light. Mike said, if you give me one second I will see if I can fix it right now. One second later, I popped my trunk and he had it fixed. SHOOK MY HAND AND SAID HAVE A GREAT DAY!! No payment! Just great neighborly service and a smile. I have not experienced this in years. My husband an I always complain that service and trust not longer exist in retail. THANKS MIKE FOR RESTORING OUR FAITH AND MAKING MY DAY!! Blessing to you!!

I was traveling with my children and my check engine light came on along with another light. I had several hundred miles to drive until Id be home so I went in to get my car locked at before we got on the road. It was a busy morning, but I was worked in in a timely manner. My gas cap ended up not being on tight enough causing the lights on my car to light up. I wasnt charged a thing and was back on the road. This was such a pleasant experience and I felt actually cared about. I highly recommend this shop.

after i had wrote my review this morning. I received an call from Mike the owner. He apologized for the the confusion then he explained to me that i came in at an really busy time this morning and that they where low staffed until 9am. So then he offered to do my alignment for free. WOW i had those guys all wrong. They were respectful and helpful and patient. So im here to say that i was way off base totally, very good service very good people that does the job right.

I have taken my car there many times and they always offer great service at a fair price. Today they saved me $300 by being able to reuse my spark plug wires even though they were changing 12 plugs that had not been changed in years. They could have told me that they were required to be changed, but they didn't. I really trust these guys.

My friend came into town trying to get away from Hurricane Harvey, and the drive exacerbated a brake problem. I would highly recommend coming to this Tuff to everyone. Thank you Tuff of Aryrsley you saved me most likely a $300 trip to the VW dealership. I brought my car in for an oil change and have them check my engine light. They check the codes and came back to me not only telling me the code but explaining what they all meaned. The code were exactly what I had replaced at the VW dealership. The employees at Tuff explained to me that the check engine light may have come on since the part replaced by the dealership was directly related to the oil pressure. Thank you once again!! :))) I will be back and be telling everyone I know to bring their cars to you

Mike and his service guys are awesome. We first met Mike when he started working at the Tuffy in Indian Land, SC. When he moved to the South Tryon location we continued to go to location in Indian Land (now that Mike is gone from there I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy) Mike and Roger treated my mom and I as human beings, and we felt 100% confident in what they were telling us was the truth! We will continue to make the further drive to see Mike, we cannot thank him enough!
